2017, 2018 and What's New With Me

2018 is here and chugging right along. I saw a funny pic that there should be sympathy cards for going back after the holidays, lol. Yes, please!

What's New With You

2017 was a pretty good year, I made some really good friends, got to catch up with some that had moved away and even had one move back that I got to spend a lot of time with. I still have half a year of Disney passes so I'll definitely be looking forward to spending more days there!

What's new with me is I'm planning all the things for 2018 and working on some self improvement goals. I've joined Fit Girls Guide and I'm determined to complete this first round. I've started countless times but never finished. You can follow along on Instagram @fitgirlhea if you'd like.

These are the things I already have on the books for 2018, but I'm just going to assume that more things will come along because they always do. I mean I didn't even know I was going to Costa Rica until after January 1, 2017.

Birthday Weekend Staycation - I stayed at Clearwater Beach with a friend last March, loved it and when the opportunity came up to do it cheaper again I booked it almost right away.

Seeing Reba at the Strawberry Festival. My parents saw her back at some Country festival when we lived in Texas in the eighties. Garth was her opener! This will be my first time and because it's at the Strawberry Festival my dad can't come. He's allergic to the pollen.

Rodger's and Hammerstein's Cinderella at Ruth Eckerd Hall. We got good seats at a great price for this and I'm excited to see a live Disney show, not at Disney!!

My sister turns 30!! Not sure what we're doing, but hello milestone Birthday.

Rock the Universe! While I've had Universal Orlando season tickets before, this isn't something I've ever been to. It's a 2 day Christian music festival and I purchased tickets to go with a friend this year but then Hurricane Irma happened so we didn't go and they cancelled part of it anyway.

I want to work on my 40 x 40 this year, finishing the list of things I want to do over the next seven years and crossing off some of the things on that list.

I went a little overboard with the credit card at the end of the year after paying it off, so I'm trying really hard not to spend a bunch of money in the first couple months of 2018. So far it's going ok, but we're not even one week into it, lol.

What's new with you?

  1. I love Clearwater Beach! I got to go in college when my school played in a bowl game in Orlando, and it was such a beautiful place.

Thanks for linking up and happy new year!!

  3. I need to write out my 30X30 list - I have ideas, just don't know if I have 30 yet. lol

Yay for getting to see Reba this year. I saw her for the first time in 2016 and Garth Brooks last year actually (for the first time). Both were amazing shows, so you'll love Reba's, I'm sure.

  5. It sounds like you had a great year and did so many fun things-- with so much more lined up for this year. I'm sure it's so awesome having Disney passes and beach vacations are always the best.

  6. So I totally bought myself a pair of boots on the 2nd, clearly not trying to save money this month. But like, they were 50% off and I have wanted them since they debuted in the fall. I have issues.

Yay for Fit Girls! I am following along on that instagram now and will be cheering you on. You got this girl!!! Cheers to 2018 being the best year yet!

  7. I love seeing 30x30 and 40x40 lists ... I guess I need to do a 50x50 and get busy. :) Trying to save money is relatively easy for me this time of year -- too cold where I am to go outside and shop!

I saw her at a CMA fest and she was awesome. haha yeah i feel the same about spending - i'm doing so well, and we are only 4 days in. oops. but like you, went a bit crazy with spending after paying things off, rage. now have to pay them off again, though thankfully they aren't as bad. but still.

  9. Half a year of Disney passes ahead sounds wonderful! Also, I think seeing that Cinderella performance would be amazing! Okay, I'll try to stop being such a crazy Disney fan....key word: try...
