Weekending in December

Good Morning!! It's Monday, so not much to be excited about BUT we made it through the first weekend in December and I got my tree up so that's awesome. I hope you're feeling at least a little chipper on this Monday morning and let's see what else I got up to this weekend?!

Friday

I had to pick up my contacts and everything, including the traffic worked out for me to get over to Culver's for a delicious scoop of s'mores ice cream!

I was supposed to start decorating for Christmas on Friday night but after my homemade nachos that I make all the time, I ended up with the worst stomach pains I've had in a long time. They even woke me up in the middle of the night and I was up for a couple hours before I could go back to sleep. I honestly don't think it was something I ate but the result of being on antibiotic for my acne for more than a week. I did finish a book during the wee hours of the morning and I was thanking my lucky stars it was a sleep in Saturday so I didn't miss out on any sleep, really.

Saturday

Even with the middle of the night stomach problems, I got up and got my tree up plus some other decorations because I realized 1. I needed another strand of lights and 2. I didn't have any hooks for my ornaments. *face palm*

I headed out to meet up with a friend from work and we decided to get some Ruby Tuesdays and I tried one of their drinks and a few appetizers.

Their Ruby drink was almost a little too sweet for me, but the shrimp fondue with chips was Deee-licious! That's with the stomach pain vs. nausea. If I had been nauseous the night before it would be BRAT diet and saltines for day after, lol.

Saturday night sis and I finally got around to putting red in my hair. I'll post a pic of the hair probably tomorrow when it's actually not in a ponytail!

Sunday

I helped mom work on some Christmas crafts for her work party tonight, we made modge podge little coaster sets and I also got some book review stuff done, yay! That's two things from last weekends Thanksgiving list and only leaves me with ONE thing to complete that I'm looking to finish by the end of the year.

I almost finished my tree, but it's missing ONE thing so I can't share it yet. I can share my tree farm on one side of my TV stand!

Tonight I have to do my first round of Christmas baking and I'm planning on making these bad boys. We're doing a White Elephant exchange and cookie swap!

  6. Culvers sounds lovely!!! And those cake batter cookies look delicious!!! Sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well. Is your insurance covering your acne medicine? Mine wouldn't cover anything my derm tried to give me. So lame. How are you liking Bossypants?

  7. Having everything but the hooks to hang those ornaments sounds like something I would totally do, but looks like you got your tree done after all + a ton of other stuff considering that you were sick
