On the surface Logan Wilde is all good-old-boy charm and humor, but he can't seem to outrun the hell-raising reputation of his high school years. Although he has thought about leaving his hometown in Falcon Alabama, he has grown to love the town, his restaurant, and his part-time gig coaching the football team.
Jessica estimates it will take a week tops to get Logan Wilde's signature on her generous offer, but their first meeting is anything but professional. Logan shreds Jessica's control and unleashes a passion she didn't know existed even as a deeper connection between them takes root. When her family's manipulations threaten to tear them apart, Jessica has to decide whether her dream is really the CFO job or the man who has unselfishly offered his love.
Another hit by Laura Trentham in her Falcon Football series. Logan was introduced in the first book in this series and he's a good ol' boy that has come back to his roots. He's incredibly talented and good looking so a killer combination. Plus, he's all manly and that's just how I like my guys sometimes.
Jessica has lived a very controlled, maybe even sheltered life and ends up finding out what small town life is really like. She gets introduced to Football in a small town and sees how people come together for each other. I love the outside elements that Laura is able to bring into the couples relationship and how it ultimately is an added stepping stone to their forever.
The one thing that kept me from giving this four stars could be considered piddly but it's the fact that Jessica Montgomery describes the strong, thick, busting at the seams arms that Logan has and yet the guy on the cover has puny arms that don't even fill out his shirt! I try not to judge a book by the cover, but this was one time I just couldn't overlook it. It's really more like 4.5 but I didn't want to round up.
Also, while I've enjoyed reading these books I can't help but wish they were released closer to Fall when football season actually takes place. On the other hand every time I've read the Falcon Football series, I've been dropped right into Fall Football season and I can't wait for September to get here!
