#tbt Love and Kisses Valentine Craft

My mother was always very good about making each Holiday fun and special. We almost always had something sitting in "our spot" at the table and when we were really little she would have crafts for us to keep us occupied. I'm so thankful that she was able to stay home with us kids and create memories like this with us.

One of those I happened to find a picture of recently and I thought it was the perfect gift to make for some of my far away friends for Valentine's day.

- Love and Kisses Card -

Lipstick - I chose a bright pink and a red to change things up a bit.
White Paper or Cardstock

If you're making cards:
1. Cut down your cardstock to a size that will fit into your envelope. I like to buy the box of 4 3/8 x 5 3/4 size envelopes at Walmart because I can use a 8.5 x 11 piece of cardstock for two cards with no waste!
2. Fold your cardstock in the middle.
3. Apply your lipstick to your lips.
4. Kiss your card. Each time I kissed my card I would reapply.
Optional: Apply a second color and kiss the card again.
Blot or spray with hair spray / fixative if you have it to seal the lipstick on the card. *I don't think you have to seal it because I don't remember doing this as a kid.

If you're making stationary just leave out the folding, duh!

Don't forget to write a special note on the card and send it off to someone special!

I even had some kisses outtakes.

What's something you've made for someone special in your life?

  1. Such a cute idea! I haven't made any Valentine's crafts yet. Need to get on it.

  2. So cute! I want to make cards this year, so much more fun than just buying them!

  3. Oh my gosh - how precious is that picture of you!!!!!!

  4. Those are really cute cards, I might have to add that to my lunchbox love note idea for my husband. I am dropping by from the #tbb, I hope you are having a wonderful Friday :)
