I LOVE Remy Something Fierce

Sometimes I get so obsessed with a book, I end up with a book hangover and cannot move on to another book until my obsession has been satedfed.

The latest book (series) to do this to me was Katy Evans' Real series last year. I never actually came on here and talked about it because I was too entranced with re-reading that first book, Real, over and over again. Well, now that it's been almost a year...and she's released the rest of Remy and Brooke's story I thought I'd make sure I told all of you about it.

Please note that just because I was obsessed with it, you may hate it as there's really no middle ground with this series. It's a love or hate type of love story. This is a very intense book sometimes (especially REMY) and it has A LOT of sex (too much sometimes) and I would love to hear your thoughts ifwhen you read it!

Remington Tate is the baddest, strongest, most loving fighter in the underground ring. Most people have no idea about his loving side as he's never been in a relationship, often coined as a ladies man and can have any woman he wants. Well, after his first fight of the book in Seattle, he wants her; Brooke Dumas. She's not dressed like a typical ring groupie and she's of course the most beautiful thing he's ever seen.

Their love story isn't an easy one and it's told in three parts. The first, Real was what captured me as we hear the entire thing from Brooke's side of the story. Mine is their continuation with a glimpse into Remington's head and then we have Remy; the final part of their story and multiple past scenes from his point of view. I saw several people that didn't like seeing his side while I on the other hand have re-read it twice now? and I still loved it.

Real by Katy Evans is where I first fell in love with Riptide Remington Tate and I hope you give him a chance to capture your heart too!

Synopsis: A fallen boxer.
A woman with a broken dream.
A competition…

He even makes me forget my name. One night was all it took, and I forgot everything and anything except the sexy fighter in the ring who sets my mind ablaze and my body on fire with wanting…

Remington Tate is the strongest, most confusing man I’ve ever met in my life.

He’s the star of the dangerous underground fighting circuit, and I’m drawn to him as I’ve never been drawn to anything in my life. I forget who I am, what I want, with just one look from him. When he’s near, I need to remind myself that I am strong–but he is stronger. And now it’s my job to keep his body working like a perfect machine, his taut muscles primed and ready to break the bones of his next opponents . . .

But the one he’s most threatening to, now, is me.

I want him. I want him without fear. Without reservations.

If only I knew for sure what it is that he wants from me?

Mine by Katy Evans was first mentioned on my blog as a five star read here. It was at that time I realized I had never dedicated an entire post like this one to the series and NEEDED to do one. Mine really closed out their story for me, it gave me lots of things I love in a sequel and I thought Katy did an excellent job keeping us coming back for more.

Synopsis: He's mine, and I'm his. Our love is all-consuming, powerful,
imperfect, and real...

In the international bestseller REAL, the unstoppable bad boy of the Underground fighting circuit finally met his match. Hired to keep him in prime condition, Brooke Dumas unleashed a primal desire in Remington "Riptide" Tate as vital as the air he breathes... and now he can't live without her.

Brooke never imagined she would end up with the man who is every woman's dream, but not all dreams end happily ever after, and just when they need each other the most, she is torn away from his side. Now with distance and darkness between them, the only thing left is to fight for the love of the man she calls MINE.

Remy by Katy Evans

Synopsis: Underground fighter Remington Tate is a mystery, even to himself. His mind is dark and light, complex and enlightening. At times his actions and moods are carefully measured, and at others, they spin out of control.

Through it all, there's been one constant: wanting, needing, loving, and protecting Brooke Dumas. This is his story; from the first moment he laid eyes on her and knew, without a doubt, she would be the realest thing he's ever had to fight for.

Another reason I'm sharing this with you now is there's another book in the series coming out and it's about Brooke's BFF Melanie and her...MAN!

Rogue by Katy Evans is one I am getting more anxious about everyday. I'm not a fan of the cover...Melanie is supposed to be in her twenties I think and she looks like a tall bueno, but the male cover model looks good!

Brook Dumas found Remington Tate in REAL, and now it’s her best friend Melanie’s turn to find the man who makes her heart sing. After years of searching, one night in the rain, the strong and mysterious Greyson King comes to her rescue. He’s bold, and maybe just the lover, friend, and protector she’s been searching for. When they make love, he says her name like it means something. Like she means something—and that’s everything she’s ever wanted.

He disappears for days without a word, and when he’s around, he says he’ll only hurt her. Buy when he’s away, her heart hurts more.

Then Melanie uncovers the dark world he’d been determined to keep hidden, and suspects that their random first meeting might have not been so random after all.

Caught in a free fall of emotions, Melanie has no one to catch her but the man she should be running from. . .

But what do you do when your Prince Charming has gone Rogue?

I could seriously keep going with the pictures and the smiling when I think of my love for this series.

Do you have a favorite book series?

  1. I love that term "book hangover"! I need to use that. I just finished The Night Circus and now can't stop thinking about it

  2. I love a good book hangover. I love the Rough Riders series by Lorelei James, nothing better than some hot cowboys who are a little bit rough, rowdy, and fall hard.

  3. The Wanted series by Kelly Elliot and Taking Chances/Stealing Harper by Molly McAdams were two that gave me really good book hangovers. & btw, I totally loved Beautiful Disaster, read it in like 4 hours!

Can't wait to dive into the Real series! Thanks for the rec!
