X is for Xtra, Xtra #atozchallenge

Read All About It

So I initially thought I would be talking to you about the XXX sexy side of romance novels. I really hate the preconceived notion most people have of "romance novels" because everything I read is lovey, romance type but I have yet to read a Nora Jones or Debbie Macomber and I don't read it for the naughty side. I just like to read about love, okay. I finished up my ARC of Sweet Filthy Boy by Christina Lauren, *cough*Five Stars*cough* and I have to say that the title fits Ansel perfectly with an emphasis on filthy and Mia isn't an innocent either! I can't wait for the other books to come out in this series!

So, I thought with my take on X I could just share with you what I got up to this weekend, because you know I'm always a fan of weekends! Also, I can't believe it's already the last week of April and the A-Z Challenge is almost done!!!

1 // Walked the entire mall to find out they no longer have a card store like Hallmark! What?! Bonus I did get some miles in with this plus other "break" walks at work with J!
2 // Friday night mom and I were home alone so we watched a chick flick neither of us had seen, except after it was over she thought she had seen it before, lol.
3 // At work I started growing a little seedlet and as soon as I saw green I was ecstatic!!
4 // We stopped by the HSN outlet on the way home from the Fancy Flea Market and I almost bought a soda stream. Sadly I really don't need one.
5 // This was by far my fav find at the Fancy Flea Market. Not that I would buy it because I like to mix shabby chic and I'm more of a modern couch girl.
6 // There were so many vendors, and we walked over TWO miles over a three hour period, woohoo!
7 // I finished my last Real Book for the month and you can see my $1 bill as my bookmark for when I return it to the library!
8 // This was my Fancy Flea Market haul! I had a list in my head of things I was looking for and only one of them did I not find to my liking, score!
9 // Finally got a chance to read the next book coming from Christina Lauren and I'll share more about that this week, but you can check out the ad in my sidebar if you just can't wait to pre-order it. They have a sweet giveaway going if you pre-order it and send them your receipt!

What did you do this weekend? I saw lots of pool time in my social feeds, and I sat outside for a little while but the bugs made me go inside.

  1. Did you just say you've never read Debbi Macomber?? *gasp* looks like you got in some good miles this weekend. I used to have a Victorian couch but it was a tan floral print and I loved it, only 20 bucks off craigslist too. Need to check out that book.

  2. I need to go to flee markets now that it's warmer and they are open. I keep meaning to. Maybe this coming Saturday. Also, I love the idea of hiding money in library books. I just returned a book on Saturday and totally forgot to leave money in there! Ugh.

  4. I have a friend who swears by the soda stream! Totally worthy investment, if you ask me.

  6. Sexy novels always make so awkward. Even just reading them. I'm a child haha. I love Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. It's a hoot. Matthew is so dreamy. I adore that couch! I want it. My boyfriend would kill me though haha. Even though you didn't buy the couch, it looks like you still got a lot of great stuff! I love thrifting. Always the best.
