M is for Makeup Bag #atozchallenge

I'm so excited to share what's inside my makeup bag with you today. I have a lot of must have lists, but makeup, despite my stupid acne face right now has always been a fav of mine!

I don't wear a lot of extra stuff, I just like to lay a nice foundation and add a touch of color to my cheeks and darken/accentuate my already long lashes.

Foundation // Loose Powder // Pressed Powder // Blush // Mascara // Combo Palette // Powder Brush

Now, I'm actually in the market for a good foundation or loose powder. I love the Too Faced brand, so those and the mascara are my absolute favorites in this image. Clinique I've just used them for so long that I'm afraid to try something new with my sensitive skin. If anybody has a favorite foundation or loose powder they swear by I am all ears!

I used to wear all but the mascara everyday. The pressed powder travels with me for touch ups and now that I've stopped wearing makeup everyday, it's my go to if I end up going somewhere and need makeup in a pinch. I love the all in one No Makeup Makeup palette and it has application how-to instructions for the beginner!

Mascara is when I'm doing something on the weekends or going out at night and then eye makeup like eye shadow is even more rare for like NYE or the opera! This mascara, if you notice the brush...that's what makes it my fav. Too Faced also has a Lashgasm mascara with a wand like this and I loved that one too. This CK mascara was FREE since I'm an Ulta member for my birthday, so go gt signed up if you're not already!

The Too Faced brushes use what they refer to as "teddy bear hair" and OMG are sooo freaking soft. If you ever want to feel how soft, stop by a Sephora or Ulta and try them. I was hooked after my first try. I also use a Clinique foundation brush to apply foundation, but again that's something I'm up for trying a new one since I've had mine for several years.

What's in your makeup bag?

  1. i swear by la bella donna foundation powder. it's the best all natural makeup brand on the market and it has a natural SPF not to mention it gives you a wonderful dewy look. flawless. it's pricey but so worth it. i have their lip gloss, pressed translucent powder and foundation powder.

  2. I just watched a You Tube review on the teddy bear brushes yesterday. Looks like I may have to get them! I switch my foundation often, right now I'm using that Laura Mercier silk crème foundation. Gives a luminous glow, but doesn't look oily, and coverage is build able. Gives me a flawless look, and I have a lot of skin issues.

  3. I love that you are still going strong on this A-Z challenge, I've been reading every day! I don't really understand foundation/powder etc so I can't offer any suggestions because I just avoid it at all costs!

  4. I really only wear mascara and fresh sugar lip gloss a lot of days. Today, I'm wearing nothing. hahaha.

I do like Perfekt CC cream, which is the closest thing I have to a foundation.

  5. I looove makeup! During the week for work I just slap on the basics but I could honestly spend 2 hours playing around if I'm getting ready to go out!

  7. I'm so basic when it comes to make-up. No one ever taught me how to do it properly, so I just keep it to a minimum - foundation, powder, eye liner and some blush every once in awhile. I've changed brands a time or two too. I've never heard of Too Faced, but it sounds awesome. I've used Clinique before though!
