Friday Five Favs + Favs Party Idea

I loved sharing about my Birthday Brunch yesterday and it seemed like everybody loved it just as much as I did which makes my heart butterflying happy!

Today I wanted to share with you my Five Fav things - like I almost can't live without them and how you can throw a Favs party of your own!

What's a favs party?
It's where you get together with your friends and everybody brings THREE of the exact same item to give away. You can always bring three different colors of said item or three different flavors but the idea is that three people will get your favorite thing.

Our guidelines were:

1. Can't spend more than $15 on each item or $45 total
2. Must be three of the same item
3. Be prepared to tell us about your favorite item!

The best part is EVERYBODY gets to go away with three new things to enjoy!!

Easy as pie, right?

I shopped discount places for my favorite things because I knew I could spend $15 on one of my items or I could get a few of my fav things for $15 if I shopped around and wasn't all picky about brands for every item.

Pick out your fav thing(s) to give away at the party!

1. Straw Cup
This is my new favorite cup, but not within the budget $15 for my budget so I found cups at Bealls Outlet for $4.99, score!

2. Pink Color Club Polish
You can spend upwards of $8 if you order this online...or if you live close enough to a place like Bealls outlet, you can get SEVEN bottles for less $8.99, double score!

3. Seche Vite Top Coat
If you are only buying one of these, Target, Ulta or Sally's is a great place to buy it for $9...or you can get it from Amazon for under $5. It's on sale right now for $6 at Ulta!

4. Book
I have so many favorite books, that I couldn't possible choose so I would have probably given out $1-$3 gift cards for people to buy their own and maybe a list of my favorites! Like Twilight or the Real Series...two series I've read multiple times!

5. YesTo Face Wipes!
I have several packets of these I like to giveaway already that I bought on clearance, but didn't think about putting them in my cup gift.

Those last two weren't included in my fav party gift, but I probably could have worked them in if I really wanted to. As you;ll see in the pictures below, some of the girls brought only one item and that's totally okay too. I just have SEVERAL favorite things!

Talk about why THIS is your favorite item

After you talk about your item, you draw three names and each of the names drawn will get your item. We put all names into one bucket, but you could have three buckets...one for each of the three giveaways if you want.

I also made goodie bags for the girls to carry their gifts home in.

The girls had such a great time and we're looking at doing a Mother's Day event with more women. I can't wait!

Some ideas of what the girls brought:
Movies
Coconut Oil
Nail Polish
Lip Stuff
Gift Cards
Cups
Flowers
Makeup
Candy

What's the one item you would have brought?

Linking up for Five on Friday!

  2. I love this idea! So does that mean everybody goes home with 3 different items from 3 different people? I guess that would make sense. That's really cool! I think I would probably put several things together like you did. It would certainly include Vaseline Lip Therapy and maybe a Starbucks gift card.

  9. I seriously want to do this! But maybe keep it in mind for Christmas for a large group of friends when buying for everyone is impractical? But there are so many cute, cheap summer things.... hmmmmm....
