Book Review: Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover

So I was going to talk about books today and tell you some that are on my upcoming list and then I finished Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover that hasn't even been released yet and just couldn't focus on anything else until I shared how awesome it was with you!

I was lucky in the fact that I had multiple Dr. appointments yesterday and had to sit in waiting rooms devouring Maybe Someday because I just didn't want to put it down. I kept reassuring the nurses that I was fine with waiting since I had my book. I didn't want to be disturbed dang it!

Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover blew my expectation for her next book out of the water. I've loved everything that Colleen Hoover has written that I've read so far and I knew I would love this, but the incomparale way that I was intrigued and continuously gasping during this book can't be planned for ahead of time I don't think so I really had no idea what I was in for.

Synopsis: At twenty-two years old, Sydney has a great life: She's in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers Hunter's cheating on her--and she is left trying to decide what to do next.

Sydney becomes captivated by Ridge, her mysterious neighbor. She can't take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there's something about Sydney that Ridge can't ignore, either. When their inevitable encounter happens, they soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one...

Includes an original soundtrack created by musician Griffin Peterson.

I can't say too much without giving away major points of the story and those major points are what makes reading Maybe Someday the first time around so enjoyable! Because you know, I probably won't read this just once.

Sydney, poor girl that gets her heart broken and loses her best friend all on what's supposed to be the best day of each year never stood a chance when she met Ridge in person for the first time. Their connection is unavoidable and the way they maneuver the path that life has laid out before them is hard, emotional and just plain tragic to the heart sometimes.

I love when a book makes me feel every emotion and I also love it when I'm not crying too much. Maybe Someday had just enough of everything, and a lot of music. I mean, Colleen was able to work closely with Griffin Peterson on this book/album that simultaneously makes everything flow so wonderfully together.

I've read a lot of books with an epic song, a special song moment, or even several songs mentioned or alluded to but this was the first book I've read where the songs were just as much a part of the story as the setting or the characters. Personally, I didn't listen to the songs while I was reading, I just read the words like poetry as I would in most books that include lyrics but then I was able to go and listen to the songs that were in the book which was such an amazing experience! You can download the CD on Amazon to listen to while you're reading and then again and again forever!

Thanks to Colleen and her musically gifted ally Griffin for such an unforgettable reading experience!

I really hope when you read this book that you love it as much as I did. Pick up your copy or get it ordered in time for the March 18th release next week!
