My 10 Gym Bag Must Haves

Good Morning!

If you're following along you've probably heard about my fail to actually make it to the gym this month, but I have been exercising so that still counts dang it!

Anyway, even though I'm not good on some follow through, I am GREAT at planning. So, I've had my gym bag ready for WEEKS and wanted to share it with you since I went yesterday after work! Yay!!


1. Shoes. At my gym shoes are required THANK GOD! I've been to apartment gyms and seen people running bare foot. YUCK!
2. Socks. Sometimes two pairs. Depending on if I'm headed to Pure Barre or the actual Gym.
3. Water Bottle or cup with straw for this girl. Definitely a must!
4. Sports Bra. I don't know what it's like to have little boobies, but I've tried running/jumping/any kind of exercise in my regular bras and it just isn't a pretty of comfortable thing.
5. Headphones and my music. It motivates me and helps pass the time when I'm struggling.
6. Tight workout pants. I've worn short shorts, and loose fitting clothing but the tight clothes always make me feel better both during and after. No chaffing when I'm wearing the leggings!
7. Tank top. I actually have multiple outfits in my bag during the week so I'm not ever caught wearing the same thing to the gym during the week, lol.
8. Hair Brush + hair tie. These long locks get all tangled and I get super hot when I try to wear my hair down. I just can't do it.
9. Magazine. When I'm doing my cool down and/or a light workout day I try to have something to focus on. I've also been known to have my phone or iPad out reading whatever book I just can't put down.
10. Lastly a cute bag to store everything in.

I forgot that I also usually have a towel for all my sparkle, but since it wasn't in my bag it didn't make the list, haha!

What's in your gym bag? Do I need to add anything to mine?

  1. I have a very similar VS bag! Haha! Headphones are a MUST! Pretty much everything on this list I bring except magazines. Very good list!

  2. I always used to carry deoderant, a hand towel and a lock when I hit the gym! Now I'm an at home workout person.

  3. Wait... are there seriously gyms that don't require shoes?! NASTY!
    I don't go to the gym but I do carry literally my entire apartment in my purse every day.

    i throw in some energy supplements.. and people who don't wear shoes in public are NASTY!!
